My prayer this morning.

In prayer this morning I prayed for God to show me who I can invite to come to church. All the staff yesterday talked about us, the staff, getting with it and praying who we can invite. We have a great church and we know that people come primarily because they are invited. Many times we interact with people, some strangers, and some acquaintances, and family, etc., that need to know that we do want them to come to church.
Once they are there the Lord Jesus can do the rest. We have prepared the message and all the staff and volunteers are working hard to create an environment so that everyone can hear God speak to them. If people don't come then they won't hear the message. What do I have to lose to ask someone? They aren't coming now anyway. They can't not come twice as much, but they can come and be transformed by the powerful message of God's Word.
So, I am excited to see who God will send my way and who will respond to come to ALC. Who will you invite to come to church today?

Starting to blog is exciting and also challenging to think that people will be reading the thoughts and comments that I have. I hope that people will see that a Pastor is just a person that feels and thinks like everyone else. I do have a responsibility to lead people to Christ and feed the people that are following Christ.
